Stan Barnes is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at AerPrice, a next-generation SaaS platform focused on transforming aircraft valuation and trading for aviation lessors, banks, and private investors. Stan brings over 20 years of experience in aviation finance and leadership, with a proven track record of scaling platforms, introducing transformative technologies, and building high-performing teams.

 

Prior to founding AerPrice, Stan served as Chief Financial Officer and Head of HR at Aergo Capital, where he led the financial and people strategy during a period of significant global growth from 2016 to 2024. His leadership was instrumental in scaling the platform globally, enhancing internal capabilities, and building a culture of performance and collaboration. Stan spearheaded the adoption of leading Aviation Finance technologies that enabled Aergo to support a rapidly growing aircraft portfolio and expand into new markets efficiently and sustainably.

 

Before Aergo, Stan spent nearly a decade at Standard Chartered Aviation Finance, where he helped lead the expansion of the platform to a portfolio value approaching $5 billion. He also helped drive the establishment of SCB's Hong Kong leasing business and oversaw the integration of its aviation and ship leasing operations.

 

Earlier in his career, Stan held strategic finance roles at Tyco International, contributing to the company’s global restructuring and launch of new entities in the US, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. He also spent several years in financial and regulatory roles at PTSB and First Active (Ulster Bank).

 

Stan holds a BA in Business (Accounting) with first-class honours from the National University of Ireland, where he graduated top of his class. He is a qualified accountant (CIMA) and holds a first-class honours diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from the Law Society of Ireland.
