Dave Morris is an experienced aircraft leasing professional who provides consultancy and advisory services and non-executive director support to aircraft leasing platforms and aviation related businesses.
Dave has most recent full-time role was as Head of Technical and Asset Management at CALC Global Leasing Ltd. where he led the development of CALC’s technical asset management teams based in Europe, USA and Asia. He had responsibility for management of the used aircraft portfolio and the successful specification and delivery of aircraft from CALC’s Boeing and Airbus aircraft order book.
Prior to joining CALC, Dave spent 14 years in both technical and commercial roles in Pembroke Capital Limited and later Standard Chartered Aviation Finance. Initially he was responsible for managing the technical aspects of aircraft lease transitions and supporting the commercial teams in lease negotiations. Dave later moved to a commercial role with responsibility for aircraft lease marketing and sales negotiations. While his primary role was marketing in sub-Saharan Africa, he also had responsibility for a number of airlines in North America, Latina America and parts of Europe.
Prior to Pembroke Capital Dave had a career spanning over 20 years in various aircraft technical support roles. He held a variety of roles and responsibilities in international locations, ranging from aircraft line and base maintenance to maintenance planning, to quality assurance, to aircraft audit and aircraft lease management.
Dave has held recognised qualifications as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, holding type ratings on several aircraft and engine types. He has received a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from the Law Society of Ireland and holds a Diploma in Corporate Governance from The Corporate Governance Institute. Dave also holds a Diploma in Life, Work and Career Coaching from the Irish Lifecoach Institute.
